Of Paperbacks and Previews

Hey everyone,

Just a couple quick updates.

The paperback version of How to Defeat a Demon King in Ten Easy Steps is now available. You can find it here.

I hope everyone who is checking out the Kindle version is enjoying it! And as a reminder, the Audible version is already available, too. You can find that here.

For those of you who have already checked it out or aren’t interested, I have a couple other goodies today: preview chapters of a couple upcoming books. Bits of these have been posted before to Reddit or my mailing list, but I know many of you haven’t seen them yet. And for those of you hardcore fans who have already read these, I plan to put up some completely new samples soon.

First, the one most of you are probably interested in: a preview chapter of The Torch that Ignites the Stars.

And second, a preview chapter of Carefully Worded Wishes, Wrynn Jaden’s upcoming novel.

I hope you enjoy the previews, and I’m excited to see what people think when the books finally come out!

  1. Please, do Patreon with early access to books (perhaps even unedited drafts) as a perk!

I personally enjoy seeing creative work in progress. I wish authors would share early drafts of their stories more often.

  2. I have listned to demon king and it’s hilarious. Especially the part with the magic harmonica and the heros green cloathing, all these Zelda references. Oh jeah and I will definetly call my next videogame charachter Dirk Lord …
Thank you for writing the things that you do and so quickly! (I am still wating for kingkiller chronicles 3 …)

  3. That first chapter of AA3 got me so excited for it (And that little Jin moment fed my deeply buried Corin/Jin ship:D)! Usually I’d wait for the audio book, but I’m not sure I’ll be able to handle the anticipation…

  4. Great preview chapter Andrew! I loved the rapid pace that you’ve somehow blended with the slow reveal for what’s going on.

It’s been really nice to see how your writing style has evolved since Forging Divinity. Everything is slicker and smoother. I’ve seen this with a lot of authors, most notably Brandon Sanderson, and it gives me hope for my own creative writing hobby.

I’m eagerly awaiting TTTITS! Genuinely no pun intended.

    Keep up the great work!

  5. How to Defeat a Demon King in Ten Easy Steps is my son’s absolute favorite audiobook, we got it when it was just released and he’s been listening to it on a loop ever since. He would like me to ask if there are more books coming?

    1. I’m so glad he likes it! I may do a sequel someday, but it’s probably a long way off – I’m more focused on my main books right now. I’d recommend my Weapons & Wielders series as something similar if he hasn’t listened to them already.

      1. Thanks for the recommendation! I’d looked into that series actually but couldn’t tell if it was on the same maturity level since my kid is only 8.
I’ll at least I’ll be able to answer him.
Thank you very much for responding! It was a last ditch effort at finding an answer.
